Classics of tomorrow? New Swedish compositions for choir, ensemble and electronic music

Classical meets new music – get ready to encounter Swedish composers and new compositions! The Gothenburg guitar duo Gothenburg Combo present a modern-classical program featuring pure Swedish songs that they have already toured around the world. The world-class choir Rilke Ensemble from the Swedish west coast, headed by Gunnar Eriksson, have gathered the twelve strongest voices of Sweden to create an unusual sound experience. And the violinist George Kentros and Electro-musician Mattias Petersen have crafted a modern interpretation of Vivaldi's Four Seasons entitled “There Are No More Four Seasons”. In addition to the concerts, there will be a networking dialogue during which the possibilities of establishing contemporary art music as official repertoire will be discussed by music journalists, composers, musicians and music promoters. The West Swedish Music Night is organized by culture i Väst promotionsnämnd in cooperation with Stims, Resurscentrum för ny music and Producentbyrån.
